From what you are describing it sounds like you are talking about either the nuts on the entry plate or the connectors on the cables. There unfortunately isn't a switch you can install that will make your current converter compatible with Lithium batteries, but we do offer a replacement converter that is Lithium compatible.
You'll want to use # PD4575LICSV to replace your current converter. The # PD4575LICSV is only compatible with Lithium batteries, so you might want to hang on to your old one should you ever need to switch back to lead acid batteries for any reason.
